After rebuilding mine and my brothers PC in last few weeks and having more spare parts than I can shake a stick at.

I'm after a project build and looking at making a Mineral Oil PC, only problem I can find is that its £10 per litre on amazon! For a fish tank its about 30 litres plus, meaning £300 worth of oil!

So what I'm asking is does anything know any ware I can buy it cheap and in bulk

Thanks

Look at Linus's videos on the subject. He ended up scrapping his as the material he used to make the tank started cracking and was imminently going to leak oil.

They do look so cool though!

Sweet! Well found, trying to find a right sized tank, I don't want to go spending over £150 on this project and this is a lot cheaper than amazon! Thanks

That's only a website I know, you may be able to get it elsewhere, but no google shopping here to compare :(

On the plus side, that stuff can keep going until 300 degrees!

just bear in mind, a 30 litre tank wont need 30 litres of oil due to the volume of the computer going into it

Ah good point, plus I can add more pebbles etc at the bottom to take up some volume

There's no guarantee that this oil is non-conductive. Be careful!

Careful is my middle name!

p.s I once fell through a roof as I missed the wooden beam and stepped on the plasterboard
