this sounds like whatever is doing your web filtering is doing https inspection, you can cometimes click through the error and move forward, or more likely just whilelist the site so that is doesnt get inspected.

As a fully qualified PAT Tester myself with all of the equipment, In current legislation, there is no specific definition of what a “Portable Appliance” is. However, the common interpretation is “any appliance with a plug that can be inserted into a regular wall socket.” Portable does not necessarily mean “moveable”. PAT testing applies to fixed appliances, stationary appliances, IT appliances, portable appliances, cables, chargers and handheld appliances. There are 2 main factors which determine whether an item should be tested. These are the electrical ‘class’ of the item and the ‘category’ of the item. Electrical appliances are typically categorised as Class 1, 2 or 3. Class 3 refers to low voltage items. They are the least dangerous and therefore the safest class of electrical appliance. Class 3 items do not need to be PAT tested, although any charging leads should be checked. Class 2 includes electrical equipment that doesn’t rely on earth for protection. These should be tested. Class 1 relates to equipment that has basic insulation and needs earth for protection. Regardless of Class, business owners are advised to test all leads with plugs attached where possible. I dont know if this will help or hinder, if the worst thing that happens is a visual inspection of the item and cables only due to the fact it is in use and cant be dissconnected, then at least it is recorded as such in the test report. If anything happens as a tester my backside is covered, Pat tests are like MOT's , they are only good for that breif snapshot when i test them. Someone could go and drop a kettle 2 mins after i have tested it, passing it. Their dropping it cracks the case exposing live wires which now means it would fail. But i have already tested and left.

another +1 for the wmi filtering here, worked here while we were transitioning. I just made sure i named all my new policies with WIN10 somewhere in it so i knew which were which.

Surely if you have got the Hdd removed from the boot up in the bios, isnt that the issue. once its copied the files across it wont know to boot from the HDD, so will go to the USB or whatever else is there.

Hi got it in most our classrooms here, dont mess about with splitters though if you are only going for 3 outputs, just shove a cheap graphics card in. The most i have got going is in an IT classroom, it is a funny shape and i have set up 5 outputs, but it is an odd shaped room and with that one i split the hdi to the board, anf have 3 displays on the desk.

did anybody ever get this working, what a nightmare. just managed to finally get the license server up and running, and auto discovered. But i cannot get a silient install to push out. And they say this version is easier to deploy than others. I think they are just Nelson Thornes under another name.

i get this often here, usually a reboot sorts it when you can do it. i have sat for ages looking for a failed service etc, but now i just reboot.

i used to have a script i made years ago that ran on each machine at logoff, so if the user was a student, they have a number at the front of their username, so it would check the users folder on c drive, and delete any that matched, it also did the same with the registry. i can dig it out if you want to have a look at maybe changing it to suit your needs.

They could just use Smart Notebook Express online for free, and do away with the software on the laptop.

i just have a couple of security groups set up in ad for the couple that i use like this, drop the kids into the right group, apply the policy to the group and you will be away. best way would be to have a play with a test user in the group, shouldnt take much setting up.

just bear in mind, a 30 litre tank wont need 30 litres of oil due to the volume of the computer going into it

I have been experiencing the exact same issue this morning with IE11, yet they are fine with Chrome. I have been installing flash etc like its going out of fashion. Most Teachers use chrome here, its is only a few that have reported the sound issues, but it is always 'those ones' if you know what i mean who it happened too, and switching to chrome is far too hard.

i got upgraded to 200mb last October, i get 206-216 mb all the time now.
