Hello,

There is a ever increasing amount of questions regarding IP Telephony. I was wondering if its worth opening a forum for this please? I don't think the Netbooks, PDA and Phones is suitable, a PBX and a PDA are miles apart!

What do you think?

Thanks

Is that too narrow though? What about Video Conferencing, Online Collaboration and Instant Messaging? These technologies go hand in hand with VoIP to give you a full platform.

A "Phone and communications" forum would make sense, covering the whole lot. There's so many technologies that do this, and all link together, I think limiting it to VOIP would be overly narrow.

That said, would it also include things like Yammer or whatever that current popular one is called? Would that then mean things like Sharepoint would be included? Starts to get a bit wide then...

Unified Communication? Voice / Video / Chat / Email?

But then there's the young upstarts from enterprise social media crowd: Slack, Yammer etc

Then there is Skype for Business (on prom vs Office365) as a PBX / Google Hangouts / Office 365 groups.

Perhaps Enterprise Comms?

(localzuk hadn't posted when I started this post!)
