MSI Package Builder

Hi Everyone

 

I am just wondering if anyone could recommend any exe to msi package builders.

 

I have one installed but I do not like it at all. I would just like basic ones which don't go much into detail

advancedinstaller would be my choice as you can point and click it at an already installed application to create an MSi package and or edit existing.

they used to have a free version but not sure if that is still the case.

Advanced Installer for me too.

Depending on what the exe does, I've had varying success with MSI Wrapper from Convert EXE to MSI - EXE to MSI Converter

 

If the exe does something like installing C++ Runtime then it doesn't work.

tried Advanced installer but could never get on with it really, I use one called Winstall it used to be freeware but I think its paid for now, worth checking I use it for everything

Advanced installer is fine if you just stick with the wizard. Its a bit confusing thereafter.
