Windows 10 Mandatory Profile

Hi,

 

I have setup a Windows 10 Enterprise LTSB machine, i created a mandatory profile from its default profile using the copy to method from within advanced settings in User Profiles.

For some reason The search (Cortaina) just doesn't work at all in event viewer has entries as an application error "Faulting Application Name: SearchUI.exe..."

 

Any ideas on how to solve this or can anybody recommend a different solution for creating a mandatory profile?

Mandatory profiles are broken right now and Microsoft is aware of it. They are working on a solution, the expected release date is end of april.

If you're not in a hurry, you should probably wait for this patch and save yourself alot of trouble. Just my 2 cents.

We fixed it, post on here details it. You need to add the ALL APPLICATION PACKAGES user with full access on the registry hive in regedit. It'll work then.

I cant seem to find this user? Where am i able to find it?

It's local, so you need to change the location.

Thank you so much, i have just manually tested it and it appears to be working. Now to create a GPO Fix.

After creating the gpo it breaks the start menu and search.
