User friendly software for publications such as newsletters

There doesn't seem to be a caterogy for this. We currently use Word for creating our weekly newsletter.

 

Does anyone know of any software that we can use for this. Something that perhaps has templates and photos and text can be dragged and dropped on the page?

Do you use PurpleMash? 2Publish and 2Publish extra have some simple templates like you describe.

 

I know others that use Serif PagePlus starter edition which is free

The member of staff who does the newsletter was uncomfortable using Pages. They are looking for something that is basic to use but can deliver professional looking results.
