App-V - Easy to learn?

I'm tempted to put in an application for a vacancy relating to OS / software deployment, which I'm fairly confident at. However never used App-V, but just wondered how difficult it would be to learn it, or in other words learn enough to be confident enough at an interview in a month or so

 

From what I've been reading it is basically just nicks some ideas from thin client / remote desktop services so shouldn't be rocket science hopefully?!

It's not to bad to learn. The setup for AppV 5.1 is hard as the Microsoft provided SQL scripts are broken and require a bit of tweaking. But nothing that a bit of Googlefu skills can fix

I second MrKJLS, my scripts were busted too! Took me about 20mins after abit of googling to figure it out

For Application Packaging (Sequencing), I tend to use tools like AC/DC from Login Consultants as it lets you explore the AppV Cache area and execute commands and a few other bits and bobs. The AC/DC tool is available from there website https://www.loginconsultants.com/en/downloads/freeware-tools. You need AC/DC v2 for AppV 5.1.
