What's going on here?

I re-imaged a machine using WDS and setup is coming up in the Wingdings font.

The PC is a Dell Optiplex 3010, if I re-image again it is possible that it will come up in the correct font.

sometimes it works sometimes it doesn’t.

I have never had this problem with any other WDS deployed image.

How do I fix it so it works all the time?

Network issue? Then again, surely the image itself would be corrupt to.

If it was an issue with a switch port/wall socket, could you try an alternative.

If it was an issue with the PCs NIC, could you try an alternative - possible running the exact boot.wim setup from a USB...

Not a network issue, moved the pc to a different location - same result

Not the PC's NIC, I’ve had this with multiple PC's - eventually it will take the image

It's got me stumped

All of the current updates are included.

Do you have a copy of the image at a previous good deployment state?

How do I deploy without WDS?

Was suggesting a USB installer, using the boot.wim, install.wim files from the image in question.

This is a freshly built image.
