iPad MDM solutions

It's been asked before and surely it will be asked again, Which MDM solution do you use?

 

I'm looking at buying a load of iPads. 16 to start but maxing at about 60 probably (we don't need many were a special school max class size of 12)

 

I'm told meraki is good as it's free but limited. I would prefer free vut which is the best in peoples opinions.

I use AC2 to originally setup up the iPads and put on the restrictions, then use Meraki to monitor them and set out new Apps!

 

I've used lightspeed too, but there interface although looking fancy, I just found clunky and unneccassary. Meraki is very bland, but so easy to use and navigate around, that's why I love it.

We're using Casper. Helps with our MACs also.

 

Most top MDM's are the same because Apple only release certain API's at a time and the top MDM's implement them straight away. The interfaces are just usually different.

Airwatch

Lightspeed

Meraki

 

I've used Casper and Meraki. Casper has a really old looking UI but simple to navigate. Meraki has a fancy UI but seems to put some things in odd places. Just my opinion anyways.

AC 2 to supervise the devices, Meraki to manage them. Best of all as long as you have fewer than 100 devices Meraki is free which is always nice.

I forgot to mention that you want to make sure to buy the iPads from an Authorised Apple Reseller that are using Device Enrollment Program (DEP). This makes setting them up much easier. Before getting any iPads, it might be worth waiting until IOS 9.3 as a lot is changing.

Aye, been looking at the preview. It looked as if apple were hinting at their own MDM.
