Impressed as a consumer by Windows 10 install

I got a new SSD for my laptop (240gb rather than 64GB!) so stuck it in last night after having downloaded the latest Windows 10 Pro to a USB using the Microsoft tool.

 

Within 30 minutes I was back up and running all device drivers automatically installed all updates done from a totally fresh install!

 

Then all I needed was Google Chrome and back to business as usual! Amazing how little third party applications you need to install these days, everything just seems to revolve around the web!

Um, while you may be impressed as a consumer, this isn't really a forum for discussion of general consumer topics regarding Windows 10. You've go the whole Internet to talk about consumer-oriented Windows 10 usage. I could name dozens of other forums where you can talk about the consumer-oriented usage and installation of Windows 10.

 

Finding a place to talk about Windows 10 IT deployments in an education environment is difficult enough, without off-topic stuff like this being posted in here.

 

Not even Microsoft offers a dedicated forum for discussion of Academic Windows 10 deployment and usage. Which is why I am on this forum in the United Kingdom where I have to wade past mysterious things like GSCE's and A-levels, even though I'm researching using Windows 10 in a public school district in the USA where we don't have any of that...

Forum section is called "Windows 10", I should think its for discussing Windows 10.

I think @googlemad was just saying how easy it was for them to upgrade to Windows 10. As with all things new, we as IT admins have to see how things work and with windows 10 and the horrors behind it he has been impressed on easy it was. This shows that deploying windows 10 into education can be done fairly quickly.

Working towards the IoT... its getting scary and soon we wont be needed lol .

What an odd response. Seems like the perfect place to discuss Windows 10 experiences, consumer or enterprise.
