Past jobs: one calendar per 'class' of information each calendar is owned by the person responsible for collating and publishing that information. Trips, Absence, Events, Exams etc.

 

New Staff induction included adding these calendar views to their outlook, and how to show/hide them.

 

HR managed the absence calendar, and obviously confidential information was not included.

 

Here: There is one shared calendar with all of the above and it is managed by one person.

 

In both scenarios, the public calendar is/was published by the person responsible for the website and they keep it in sync manually. They are good at that sort of thing, and the work isn't actually onerous.
