Office 2016 - File Locations (Saving)

Hello,

 

We are working on setting up Office 2016 on a Windows 10 Client. We have come across a problem, when users try saving, they get the option to save as local only.

 

We have managed to get save as, then browse to the roaming profiles, but there is also two options to the right: C:\users\Documents and redirected desktop share, How do you remove these?

 

Same applies once going to File, then open, tries opening from local profiles.

I presume users have a Home directory configured in Active Directory? I don't see what you describe.

I've solved this by using the following

 

If you want to disable the Office Backstage view using a GPO:

1.Open the Group Policy Management Editor

2.Expand USER CONFIGURATION > PREFERENCES > WINDOWS SETTINGS > REGISTRY

3.Right click and select NEW

4.Set the HIVE to HKEY_CURRENT_USER

5.Set the PATH to SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Office\16.0\Common\General

6.Set the NAME to SkipOpenAndSaveAsPlace

7.Set the VALUE TYPE to REG_DWORD

8.Set the VALUE DATA to 1 (Decimal)

9.Click OK and close your Group Policy Management Editor

10.Go to your test PC and run GPUPDATE /FORCE (or reboot)

Sorry just noticed this only working for opening and not saving. Any one any ideas how I can hide the documents and desktop shortcut from office
