Proxy Authentication

Our users log on to our macs with their AD logins. Is there a way I can make their AD credentials authenticate the proxy on log in? Currently I have the proxy set on the local admin account with my AD login authenticating it, but when students and staff log in, they are asked to enter their AD credentials.

Can I assume its just your macs having authentication issues

It sounds as though you are using NTLM proxy. Use Kerberos instead works a lot better on Macs and remember Kerberos relies heavily on DNS so make sure that's up to scratch and always try to use a FQDN rather than an IP address.
