Active Primary Pen menu keeps disappearing

Hi,

 

I'm not sure if anyone else is has had this issue but a teacher has spoke to me about how when she is using active primary during the class the menu bar for the pens will suddenly drop off and when she presses the pen button it won't come back on until after a few attempts. This happened for her last year but on a different computer but that and the board have both been swapped into another class (no issues yet) and I can't remember the quick fix I used to get it sorted for her.

Could you just confirm the computer operaying system and the version of ActivPrimary?

 

ActivPrimary has been superceded by ActivInspire for several years now

It is a dell optiplex 755 running x64 Win 7, sorry its running ActivInspire but on the ActivPrimary UI. The version of activinspire is 2.5.66477. Edited January 29, 2016 by luke_

Hi luke_,

Sounds like the teachers profile has gone a little "funny".

 

I would advise that this is deleted.

To do this:

Close ActivInspire

Delete the following folder:

C:\Users\%USERNAME%\Documents\Activ Software\ActivInspire\My Resources\My Profiles

 

The restart Inspire, these files will be re-created.

Hi phillyrovers,

 

I've gave that a go but that user is only works on certain days so it'll be next Friday by the time they've had a full week(ish) of using the software to see if that fixed the issue, so I will get back to you then to see if the issue has resolved or not.
