NOVA T application error

I have two stations where SIMS.net loads fine, but when you click Nova T it brings up NTVDM.exe application error. Screen shot attached. Please help as I know rebuilding this is not going to work

I have had that before and even though the old workstation setup is not needed anymore that seemed to fix it.

Have done this already,but hasn't worked for us.

Cant say ive had this error but have you tried renaming/deleting the SIMS .Net directory and reinstalling?

Yes, deleted and re-installed, it does exactly the same thing. I have compared two stations, one where it works and second one where it doesn't, can't work out why it works one and not on the other.

Nothing to do with default printer is it? That is does it have any printers installed and one set as default. Nova get annoyed if there isnt a printer.

How big is the Sims directory on this workstation?

You have probably got a problem with the registery - what ever that is! Windows is probably repairing itself back to the wrong state.

Capita says that there is no solution to this and they suggest the only way to fix the issue is to rebuild the workstation, I beg to differ!

 

Here is the solution that has worked for me:

 

1. Perform a search in the directory C:\Windows on the PC with the error

2. Search for the dll file: hpzui4wm.dll

3. When these entries appear, rename or delete these dll files

 

Now log onto SIMS and access Nova-T.
