atfnet Posted January 23, 2008 Posted January 23, 2008 Hi Everyone, Is there a CompTIA Network+ (2007 edition) as listed on Pearson VUE or is this the CompTIA Network+ 2005 named incorrectly ? Also does anyone have any testing software I can use that is for the latest version of the exam? Thanks Andy
bgarston Posted January 23, 2008 Posted January 23, 2008 Hi Everyone, Is there a CompTIA Network+ (2007 edition) as listed on Pearson VUE or is this the CompTIA Network+ 2005 named incorrectly ? Also does anyone have any testing software I can use that is for the latest version of the exam? Thanks Andy Hi Andy You pose a very good question as there does seam to be some confusion. Unfortunately I done know the answer myself but I’m sure someone does!? If you don’t get any replies it might be worth trying to get in touch with the examination centre or even CompTIA directly to ask them! There is no point learning the 2005 syllabus if it has been superseded in 2007 – not to mention it could be a quite costly mistake. Incidentally I assume you work in a school – are they paying for your tests for you? Cheers, best of luck Ben
Ric_ Posted January 23, 2008 Posted January 23, 2008 The 2005 syllabus was replaced last year with the 2007 one... I am currently studying the 2007 syllabus.
atfnet Posted January 24, 2008 Author Posted January 24, 2008 I passed :-) today, the 2007 seems very simalar to the 2005.
Kitkatninja Posted August 20, 2009 Posted August 20, 2009 This person has posted the same post in various other forums, besides the 2005/2007 version of this exam has now been replaced with the 2009 version: Exam codes: N10-004 and JK0-016 Until July 31, 2009, the previous Network+ exam, with exam codes N10-003 and JK0-012 will be available...
