elsiegee40 Posted January 15, 2016 Posted January 15, 2016 Can I remind people that to enter the raffle and to get an AFK badge YOU MUST KNOW YOUR EDUGEEK POSTING NAME! It's amazing how many people turn up at the stand and then spend ages trying to work it out!
kearton Posted January 15, 2016 Posted January 15, 2016 Let's see who will be the first to guess what it is. Yellow, to match the lanyards?
X-13 Posted January 15, 2016 Posted January 15, 2016 Yellow, to match the lanyards? Nah, purple because @Little-Miss was in charge of the stand design. 1
bald_pig Posted January 15, 2016 Posted January 15, 2016 Wait, full answer? So something like sunburst orange or Royal blue?
elsiegee40 Posted January 15, 2016 Posted January 15, 2016 @Dos_Box means guess the topical theme for the badges once you see them... Not guess the colours beforehand
Dos_Box Posted January 15, 2016 Author Posted January 15, 2016 Come to the stand, get a badge and then guess what the colours mean. I mean.
Joanne Posted January 15, 2016 Posted January 15, 2016 Kinda wanna guess now... but will keep schtum!
X-13 Posted January 15, 2016 Posted January 15, 2016 a new and topical colour scheme I keep reading that as a "TROPICAL" colour scheme... Was going to ask if you're doing fruity cocktails in coconuts.

mdrabble Posted January 18, 2016 Posted January 18, 2016 Since I'm not able to go, I would quite happily receive freebies by post [emoji1]
codeclubkatharine Posted January 18, 2016 Posted January 18, 2016 There is useful free stuff to be had at the Raspberry Pi / Code Club Stand in the STEAM Village: https://www.raspberrypi.org/blog/visit-bett-show-2016/ To obtain the swag, you'll need to take part in a workshop - and there are some corkers (look out for the Astro Pi ones if you are interested in the research being done by Tim Peake on the International Space Station): https://www.raspberrypi.org/education/bett-2016/workshop-timetable-2/ I'm running the "Make a ChatBot" sessions on Friday 22nd and Saturday 23rd - not especially Edugeeky, but if you would like to point any teachers in your schools in my direction, that would be grand!
GC75 Posted January 19, 2016 Posted January 19, 2016 Just received an email from NS Optimum who will be on stand C279 where it states: 'Lots of goodies to give away including non-spill staff mugs – claim yours by visiting our stand.' 1

Sound very interesting. Wonder if they're like Tommee Tippee ones?

There is no such thing as a no-spill mug when a teacher is involved! Still - I would like one - I am allowed to have coffee near a computer as I am a technician That's just the rule
dry Posted January 19, 2016 Posted January 19, 2016 There is no such thing as a no-spill mug when a TV presenter is involved! Fixed.
Dos_Box Posted January 19, 2016 Author Posted January 19, 2016 We shall also have lots of VeryPC socks to give away on the EduGeek stand too! 1
Kingstech Posted January 20, 2016 Posted January 20, 2016 We shall also have lots of VeryPC socks to give away on the EduGeek stand too! They will all be gone by the time I get there on Saturday.
robk Posted January 20, 2016 Posted January 20, 2016 They will all be gone by the time I get there on Saturday. I have seen the size of the box... They are not likely to run out! Not bay Saturday am at least!
chrishill88 Posted January 20, 2016 Posted January 20, 2016 Already collecting emails of companies and their "offerings" ready for saturday's visit. Lynx Networks - Mini screwdriver set and torch (with a letter that came to the school though) Groupcall - Mug or football (when you complete a quiz, recieved via email but they may have some on the stand) Talkstraight/School's Broadband - Travel mugs. I've seen about Net-Ctrl giving Ruckus dogs (large and small, stuffed) and prize draw for Star Wars lego but believe it's aimed at customers only. Hopefully the list will expand!
