Morning,

I've had a look around and can't find this issue, but thought I'd ask in case someone went "Oh that old chestnut" before I raised it with Capita;

My SIMS .net account is not a member of Personnel anything, so if I look at a member of staffs record I can only see very basic info. However, if I type the member of staffs name in the quick search box at the top of the page and put my mouse over the result, I can see their home address, email addresses and phone numbers.

Surely that's not correct?

Stuart

We tested this on Autumn 2015 and can't reproduce it. You can see Name, Gender, Staff Code, Current Timetabled Class.

If you are on Autumn 2015 please log a case.

I am on 7.166. I will log a case, but if it helps you I am an Admission Officer, Class Teacher, Cover Manager, Exams Officer, Returns Manager, School Administrator, System Manager, and Third Party Reporting.

If you're third party reporting (not sure why you are) surely that gives you contact information as isn't that what things like SchoolComms use? (May be wrong on that but wondering)

Quite possibly, but then that should enable me to see those bits when I look at the persons record and not just in the preview in the quick search. It may be more of a consistency issue than whether I should or should not be able to.

Might be, but TPReporting wouldn't ever log in manually, only via reports, so might be due to that? But guess Phil can answer that one :)

If you don't need it why not take TP off and try that quickly to see if it is it (Unless there was a random reason you had that?)

We have schools on 7.166. I have just tested on a secondary school that I am working on an a Class Teacher, with just Class Teacher permissions group can only see what @PhilNeal has stated. Therefore if you are able to see more then it must be a part of the permissions group(s) that are assigned to the user that is enabling it.

It's the "School Administrator" group which does it.

I am in all the groups I am in as when I started, those are the groups my predecessor put me in. I have quite a bit of tidying up to do in places. I guess I've found another.....

School Administrator is a pretty high level account, so I'd kinda expect that level of access, however if you're not seeing their address directly on their record then it shouldn't really show up in a quick search should it? Edited by bobsmith

That's my thinking.

when I started here I found that I had been assigned EVERY group there was!! And I wasn't the only one.....

Needless to say a lot of tidy up was needed.
