[tasc] Lancashire Education Support PARS support ending

Just had a letter from our Education support services informing us that they wont be offering any more support for PARS Lesson Registration. Is it possible to get support direct from TASC for this?

There trying to push SIMS lesson monitor as a replacement but the cost was about £5K last time i checked!

I would expect so, we get PARS support direct from TASC Software.

I didn't think third parties offered support for TASC. I wonder if they mean that they won't support your environment with PARS linked, as a way to push you towards LM...

Yeah im a little confused as to what they mean, we definately pay for PARS support through our SLA including sims supports etc.. but any support calls for PARS we log direct through TASC.

Then im wondering how TASC know we have paid for support? or do our LA contact TASC once we pay and notify them we have paid for support?

Sounds odd, I'd contact them direct - log a support call - and let them know what is going on. I'm sure they'd help you with continuing support and help explain things.

Maybe the LA had a deal with them, but now they are moving in favour of SIMS.

What region are you in as that thread title could scare some folks @maxrebo so would like to edit it to have your region in it before the good folks at Tasc get worried!

Thanks! I've edited the title to show its TASC and that its Lancashire support rather than a global PARS issue as the folks at TASC are a good bunch
