allen10 Posted December 16, 2015 Posted December 16, 2015 Hi guys and girls, Wondering if someone can help me figure this out? A little cherub managed to apply high contrast to a pc running windows 7. I've completely disabled it and removed the icon from the logon screen, but it seems to have got stuck in the username and password boxes on the logon screen (see attached image). The text colour also changes to white, so when you click in another box, it looks like you haven't typed anything. Anyone know of a registry edit or something to fix it? Thanks.

allen10 Posted December 16, 2015 Author Posted December 16, 2015 Do they have access to the C drive? themes? Nope, they're completely locked down. The only way they could have plausibly activated high contrast have been clicking it on the accessibility options on the logon screen which seems to re-appear after a windows update - a script then runs to remove it. I just can't work out where the background colour setting for the username and password boxes is stuck!
ITGURU Posted December 16, 2015 Posted December 16, 2015 We have the same issue - disabled all accessibility options but still manage to black the login boxes! Kids kind of get used to it, and just end up re-imaging the pc if it's an issue!
Arreks Posted December 16, 2015 Posted December 16, 2015 Only way I know of (short of rebuilding) is system restore.. Maybe login as local admin and go to the ease of access area and see if you can disable from there?
