Mods - Feel free to move Hi all, Does your office print on letter headed paper that has been printed in-house? If so, what adjustments do you make to the way you print the letter headed paper in the first place and what adjustments do you make to the printer you're printing onto the letter headed paper on? Our letter headed paper is printed in colour on Konica Minolta Bizhub machines and is printed onto by Brother HL-5450DN printers that are in our office. However we experience major ghosting and no matter what settings I adjust on the Brother printers, including a reduce ghosting setting and a low temperature setting, it makes no difference, the letter head is ghosted about half way down the page. I've had a look at the settings you can adjust on the Konica machines, but I can't see anything obvious and I'm no printing expert! IMO they should be writing letters with the letter head on and sending it to print directly to the printer, but apparently they've been doing this for years! I hate printers! Any help is much appreciated.

Nope, they're completely locked down. The only way they could have plausibly activated high contrast have been clicking it on the accessibility options on the logon screen which seems to re-appear after a windows update - a script then runs to remove it. I just can't work out where the background colour setting for the username and password boxes is stuck!

I removed this button a while ago, I have tried disabling all the high contrast themes, accessibility options etc.

Hi guys and girls, Wondering if someone can help me figure this out? A little cherub managed to apply high contrast to a pc running windows 7. I've completely disabled it and removed the icon from the logon screen, but it seems to have got stuck in the username and password boxes on the logon screen (see attached image). The text colour also changes to white, so when you click in another box, it looks like you haven't typed anything. Anyone know of a registry edit or something to fix it? Thanks.

There's no alternative, so they can charge what they want! I must have ordered 10-15 of them over the years! If you did want to order some drop this guy an email: [email protected] he's always pretty quick at getting back to me. Be warned if you email or call, they'll also try and flog you everything under the sun!

HELP! We're having real issues running reports from SIMS to Excel 2010. Every time we run a report, Excel crashes. Logged on as me (domain admin) I have the option to enable the macro. When I enable "Disable macros with notification" and click enable it opens, but will then crash at a random point. Logged on as an office staff user, all I get is this: I'm no expert when it comes to macros - so any help would be very much appreciated!

Don't know if it's the same pen (silver and blue one), but we have some IE Pro Digital boards and have found that only Interactive Education sell replacement pens at £79.95 each!!!

This works for me: \\NETWORK_SHARE\picasa39-setup.exe /S /L I deploy it using PDQ Deploy or you could create a batch file with the full path and push it out that way.

SSOverlay part of the MyStudyApps suite from dyslexia lincolnshire is very easy to use, you literally run the executable and adjust the colour and intensity to suit from the icon in the notification area.

Just wondering if anybody else out there is having problems accessing http://www.hellomylo.com (MFL activity website)? Seems to have been down since Friday and I haven't got any contact info for support. I think the website's now being run by RM after taking it over from DCSF but don't quote me on that! MFL dept are desperate to use it! Thanks!

*UPDATE* Kahootz 3 now works if there's a set of headphones plugged in. If no headphones are plugged in and I run dxdiag, nothing shows up in the audio tab and there's a red cross on the speaker symbol in the notifications area. As soon as I plug in headphones, all the info appears in dxdiag, the red cross disappears and Kahootz works! I've installed numerous variations of HD Realtek drivers from the HP site, Realtek site and Windows update, fiddled with just about every setting, but still it does this! The teacher isn't keen on having headphones plugged in permanently, so some help to find a solution to this new problem would be greatly appreciated!

Hi guys, We have recently made the move from Windows XP to Windows 7 and we are having problems with Kahootz 3 on one particular model of PC. Kahootz has installed fine on 100ish PCs so far, but when it came to starting the program on a different model of computer in a particular classroom, we are faced with Director Player Script Errors??? (Don't have a clue what this is!) I must mention, we've installed exactly the same version of Windows 7 and all other software from the same source (Flash, Shockwave, Quicktime etc.) I can only think it's something to do with the on-board graphics driver, which appears up to date, or something along those lines. For those of you that know of Kahootz, the company that made it no longer exists, so the only support avenue I can think of is on here. I've uploaded a screenshot below that shows what we get on startup. I'd really appreciate any help anyone can give!

Hi guys, Does anybody use Netflix or similar service for showing films or programs to classes instead of DVDs? Is it even legal for schools to use this kind of service? I'd be grateful if somebody who has implemented something like this could give me some advice on setting it up. Cheers, Ant
