Sharepoint 365 filter list

Hi

 

I am trying to filter a list on Sharepoint 365 (Staff Notice Board) to only show post from the last X days

 

If I put in [today]+5 for example all the items are hidden.

 

Is this the correct way to filter shown in the screen shot below

We filter on the start date and end date like so. Although this is in sharepoint 2010 the filter should work still and this example is for anything coming up in the next two weeks.

I do not have start date option but have tried (created) and I only get todays posts not the last weeks.
