Hi,

We have had an ActivPanel 55" installed and all is working great, apart from if the teacher restarts the PC.

It will not boot with the touchscreen connected to the PC.

We have tried connecting the panel via VGA off the dedicated port and also with HDMI from the DisplayPort (via an adapter) both will not allow the PC to boot.

According to HP the fault is with the touchscreen and they say it is a compatibility/driver issue.

Are there are specific drivers for the touchpanels apart from the ActivDriver?????

Thanks

Jon

Hi jon_nais,

It would be good to dig a little deeper here.

Is it when the display cable is connected only, you are getting the issue, or the USB?

If you remove the USB cable and then carry out a restart (so you will still see an image) does the same thing happen?

That will allow us to start figuring out what is going on.

Thanks

sorry for the delay in replying.

Unplugging the interactive usb cabling does not make any difference.

The screen is 15m away from the PC (I know not ideal) but we have the same setup in a number of different rooms and while we have had some issues, running an hdmi cable and using a displayport adapter always seems to work and fix the problem.

I make sure to use decent cables as I have had too many projector issues due to naff cabling.

Hi Jon,

This is not an issue we have seen before, could you log a case with our support team so that they can investigate further?

I suspect that they may want to call you directly to understand everything in the classroom included system information from the PC and get some additional panel information.

Thanks
