What free help desk software are you using and how easy has it been to implement / use from an admin and a user perspective ?

Spiceworks is great to use, especially as it can be tied in with other services.

 

If I have the budget however, I'll go for netsupport every day of the week.

Ost ticket - free, open source with ad integration - running on dedicated Windows Server 2012 with php/mysql (ditched Spiceworks about 2 years ago).

Might have to take a look at osticket. We have catering and site team using spiceworks installs for their ticket/request systems.

We don't use free helpdesk software here as we've not yet found anything that's up to scratch for our needs, but I'd certainly agree that Spiceworks is worth a look. ManageEngine also have freebie helpdesk software and we use some of their other products and find those to be ok, so they might be worth a try too.
