Was very surprised to see I had mobile data for the entire length of the channel tunnel on my last continental voyage! o2 even had 1.8Ghz 4G for parts of it, which is completely unheard of for the rest of the UK apart from around their HQ in Slough and parts of central London

This means they require a bright yellow warning plate painted on the front and rear of the train. Tube gets away with it as they have their own rail, but Overground retains the yellow markings. They look similar to Overground and the full-size Tube trains on District, Circle and Metropolitan but with a pointed nosecone. The carriages have been turned into one giant snake and the chairs mostly put to the side facing each other for maximum standing capacity. There seems to be a mix of seating configurations though. john Posted November 20, 2015 Posted November 20, 2015 The Suicide doors are in all stations but not called that, its a secondary feature as its to keep people from being blow and sucked off the platform by the sheer volume of air they push and pull through tunnels but it does also help keep people, free newspapers, junk, mobiles, shoes, handbags, hats and gloves etc off the track. Also the platforms for the trains are HUUUUUUUUUUUGE length trains I walked the Tottenham Court Road Crossrail platforms from end to end as part of a tour and man that is some distance forgot how long but they are huge trains. They are also, unlike the tube, pantograph fed so when I saw TCR Station they had started to put the hangers up for the doors and wires for the power lines above the choo choo
