X-13 Posted January 28, 2016 Posted January 28, 2016 (edited) "Trol Ling? Oh, you mean that Never gonna give you up guy?" Nah, who sung their national anthem. The blank colour represents the artists' view of a homogeneous, boring society full of monotony. The one drop of paint that slivers down the wall at 33:16 is a statement of his desire to break free of the mould and take his own path, though ultimately, the only path available is downwards due to gravity. This is to point out that though you can control your destiny to some degree, you will always be affected by outside forces. The lack of audio is a sombre reminder that society should often listen more, instead of everybody trying to speak at once. I could make this stuff up for days. Are you both my old Art and English Literature teachers? Le EDIT: ...and my Media Studies teachers. Bloomin' 'eck... I just realised I'm from a liberal arts background. Garacesh Posted January 28, 2016 Posted January 28, 2016 Are you both my old Art and English Literature teachers? Teacher. One who is tasked to impart knowledge unto others. But is it really fair to define a person by their profession alone? Does one's choice of career path dictate who they are, or does who they are dictate a career path? Am I your teachers? Can any of us ever truly know? One day I may teach you, the next, you may teach me. We should all strive to be joined in the philosophy of learning from others. This is starting to hurt now
X-13 Posted January 28, 2016 Posted January 28, 2016 One day I may teach you, the next, you may teach me. Pokémon! Wait... what were we doing?
DJ-1701 Posted January 28, 2016 Posted January 28, 2016 Hang on, whoah, a light-hearted jab is one thing, but now you're just being downright offensive *post reported* Nah, who sung their national anthem. Are you both my old Art and English Literature teachers? Le EDIT: ...and my Media Studies teachers. Bloomin' 'eck... I just realised I'm from a liberal arts background. I would give you thanks or rep but... I can't.
Garacesh Posted January 28, 2016 Posted January 28, 2016 Offensive remark was aimed at @LeightonJames, yours was the 'light-hearted jab' I'm a worker, not a shirker*. Don't lump me in with SLT lol * He says, sat as his desk, discussing pointless carp on EduGeek. But in all fairness I'm waiting for the kids to shift so I can set up a projector.
X-13 Posted January 28, 2016 Posted January 28, 2016 But in all fairness I'm waiting for the kids to shift so I can set up a projector. I'm pretty sure you could just tell 'em to move out of the way...
Garacesh Posted January 28, 2016 Posted January 28, 2016 Nope. We have a projector set up in a mobile cabinet type thing so I needed the corridors to be empty so I could shift it. Turns out there's an open evening type thingy tonight so I can't even set it up til tomorrow morning now D: Just my luck
X-13 Posted January 28, 2016 Posted January 28, 2016 Nope. We have a projector set up in a mobile cabinet type thing Oh yeah? so I needed the corridors to be empty so I could shift it. Or... Turns out there's an open evening type thingy tonight ...you need a cow-catcher attachment.
Garacesh Posted January 28, 2016 Posted January 28, 2016 (edited) Yes. A cow plough would be useful in general. Damnit, these drivers haven't gone on properly. 5th set of hardware to try Windows 10 on, first time drivers have messed up. Screen things it's 1024x768, but it isn't. Ninjaedit: As I was posting this, it randomly decided to update itself to 1366x768, which is correct. It's complaining the Realtek card reader driver ain't working, though, but that's fine because A) nobody cares about card readers and B) I'm having to use Win7 drivers as there's nothing newer. Incompatibilities are to be expected, but this is the first I've had so far. Edit2: Ninjaedit failed Edited January 28, 2016 by Garacesh
korifugi Posted February 1, 2016 Posted February 1, 2016 Aaaand back on track - I'm not sure the Paint Drying saga is over yet... Paint Drying 2: Dry Hard
Garacesh Posted February 1, 2016 Posted February 1, 2016 Oh for the love of.. xD I can't say I didn't expect it, though.
DJ-1701 Posted February 1, 2016 Posted February 1, 2016 Aaaand back on track - I'm not sure the Paint Drying saga is over yet... Paint Drying 2: Dry Hard This time it's permeable?
Boredguy Posted February 1, 2016 Posted February 1, 2016 Aaaand back on track - I'm not sure the Paint Drying saga is over yet... Paint Drying 2: Dry Hard There is rumours that Dry Hard with a Vengeance will deal with tracking down the person who leant against the wall while it was still tacky.
DJ-1701 Posted February 1, 2016 Posted February 1, 2016 There is rumours that Dry Hard with a Vengeance will deal with tracking down the person who leant against the wall while it was still tacky. Sounds like Wall to Wall action!
LeightonJames Posted February 1, 2016 Posted February 1, 2016 I think I will just Gloss over this announcement
Garacesh Posted February 1, 2016 Posted February 1, 2016 I think I will just Gloss over this announcement Probably for the best. The first movie had a lot of critics. With a sequel in the works already, fans will be walking on eggshells around most of the haters
DJ-1701 Posted February 1, 2016 Posted February 1, 2016 Probably for the best. The first movie had a lot of critics. With a sequel in the works already, fans will be walking on eggshells around most of the haters I bet it would have rave reviews in the fuchsia.
Garacesh Posted February 1, 2016 Posted February 1, 2016 I bet it would have rave reviews in the fuchsia. All these awful puns make me feel violeted
unixman_again Posted February 1, 2016 Author Posted February 1, 2016 I think the sequel is already in the can. News of it will no doubt roller around soon enough. Perhaps the next will be a blue movie?
DJ-1701 Posted February 1, 2016 Posted February 1, 2016 I think the sequel is already in the can. News of it will no doubt roller around soon enough. Perhaps the next will be a blue movie? With the profit margins from that one, they are expecting to paint the town red.
DJ-1701 Posted February 2, 2016 Posted February 2, 2016 I hear they are going to splash out on a new wall. Though there is a lot of content in the mix, it is expected to be quite dry, but as I said there will be plenty of filler. I bet the (paint) strippers will be quiet a-peeling. Anyone else worry that sequels make the story come out in drips and drabs? It's ok, I know I have outstayed my welcome here for now... I'll go get my coat.
korifugi Posted February 2, 2016 Posted February 2, 2016 Oh dear - with all these puns we're going to be told off again. Time to brush them all under the matte and move on. Although - with all this talk of them partying, are they taking the wall with them? They'll probably have trouble fitting it in a car - but I bet they can make a van gogh.
DJ-1701 Posted February 2, 2016 Posted February 2, 2016 I hear they might be adding some commentary, but are affraid this might break the fourth wall.
korifugi Posted February 2, 2016 Posted February 2, 2016 There's got to be mortar it though if they want to cement it as a film franchise.
LeightonJames Posted February 2, 2016 Posted February 2, 2016 Not sure I can get over another wall drying if I'm honest.
