Afternoon,

We will in the near future have the following setup between 5 sites :Virtual Private LAN Services (VPLS)

What i am asking is for some guidance please with regards to these queries:

Remote server and/or pc support, what software are you using?

Policy Central alternative?

Asset management for hardware and software

Problem request logging ticket software

We will have a few months before implementing any of the above so i need to pull my finger out...

We are thinking the same.

The big question is how to set it up. We have one secondary, 7 primaries in our MAT. My plan is to have a log on server at each site then either have a hosted server in the cloud for data or have a server at the secondary. Luckily most of our schools are now on fttc which helps!

@MrPstv I know we've been in touch before and I'm not sure if you're going to be using us going forward or not but if you want to speak to anybody our customers currently using vpls over numerous sites then let me know.

Also I'm about to take another 5 racks in one of our data centers in London and can do some rather special pricing if it's of interest for putting your servers there rather than at the secondary school.

Thanks

Dave
