Our six year old DC running 32 bit standard edition Server 2008 refuses to allow me to log on coming up with a message:

The requested operation cannot be completed because the terminal connection is currently busy processing a connect, disconnect, reset or delete operation.

Any suggestions. I'm not keen on a hard reboot as we have a fair few clients logged on and working. Currently all services (DHCP, DNS, Print, file server etc seem to be running ok.

You may be able to log on to a workstation as a domain administrator, then do a

shutdown -r -m \\servername -t 0

to reboot it. Obviously out of hours. Not tried it that way round myself, but it should work, so long as the account has sufficient access.
