localzuk Posted October 23, 2015 Author Posted October 23, 2015 Servers don't generally last forever, so it may be worth even giving it a life expectancy so people can work within that, and then a server reset at the end of that time? Its how I see a lot of streaming communities handle it now. As, after a couple of months you probably have maxed out all the tech stuff anyway!
Garacesh Posted October 23, 2015 Posted October 23, 2015 I find community servers always work better with a specific goal in mind, but then what usually happens is someone eager or knowledgeable blitzes forward and completes everything within a week, leaving the less knowledgeable (such as myself, admittedly) sat there going "Um. Wut?" For example, last FTB server, we had what's-his-face (I forget.. ) with the Tesseract and I was still building stuff running on solar panels an working with a Smelter lol. I'd definitely pop on for a while, though.

localzuk Posted October 23, 2015 Author Posted October 23, 2015 I've now set up an FTB Horizons Daybreaker server. Post your mc name, I'll whitelist you and send you the address. Running on a dual core VPS with 8GB RAM and SSD. So should handle it fine I think!
