Anyone on here moving on from here or worked here in the past? I'm interested in applying but the actual JD and PS are very basic, the job advert is basically the most detailed part of it!

 

My main concern being I don't really deal with Linux in my current role, I could learn but it seems quite an odd setup in general!

Being part of the North Yorks Network Managers group, i dont know the Network Manager / System admin at this place .

Me neither - the last-but-one chap came to our meetings twice; from what I recall they had what I'd call non-standard setup - which ties in with the advert; we couldn't help each other because the skill-sets didn't match the systems in place.

From what I remember from my days its very much Linux everything and it was Windows where it had to be EG Sims, so I would say if your Linux is not up to scratch maybe not for you, they do seem to have a high turn over of staff in IT as its been advertised a few times, but maybe they are always expanding the team but its had a few managers as well.
