We currently have Vision Amplifiers in each classroom. In the past, we had DVD and VHS Players, as well as the PC's, and they all went through the amp to the speakers on the wall.

The DVD & VHS Players are long gone, and the Amps are starting to fail.

I'm wondering if I can replace them with something like the above, We don't need multiple inputs as they are only used for the PC (and Aux input for an iPad might be useful but not a bit deal), and something small would take up less room on the desks.

But as my knowledge of amplifiers is pretty none existent, I'm not sure if I'm missing something obvious.

If the 20W claim is truish, and the speakers are efficient; yes, probably.

I'm using the last of a batch of small amp from CPC that they've dropped. I'd like the hear opinions on them too.

Possibly, although it is a little on the small side (12W into 8 ohm (it doesn't say whether that is RMS or peak)). It does depend on a number of factors most importantly how efficient the speakers are. That dictates how power will translate to dB (loudness). The easiest way to be sure would be to trial one.

It looks like the Vision amps we have are only 25 amps and they are never turned up very high so I think they Gemtune one should be adequate. I'm going to give it a go.

I will second the use of in-wall amps, perfectly adequate for anything but serious music reproduction. Easy and clean installs, can be hard wired too. Nuvo is the brand we have in our school but I'm sure others exist.
