sammcleod99 Posted August 24, 2015 Posted August 24, 2015 A member of staff is having error cr20r3 when updating school academic year via the wizard.. not sure why - any suggestions?! Sam
Meldrew Posted August 24, 2015 Posted August 24, 2015 Could do with more detail, but sounds like .NET framework to me. I'd try reinstalling .NET and/or try the .NET repair tool. HTH, Meldrew.

astevens84 Posted May 24, 2017 Posted May 24, 2017 I'm having this issue now... Did you ever find a solution? I've tried updating / repair .net, reinstalling SIMS client, but still no luck.
SimonCygnetIT Posted May 24, 2017 Posted May 24, 2017 Does the same routine work in SIMS work on another machine? If so then it is the workstation that is the problem and given it says about the SQL Client I would maybe check ODBC to ensure it works. Also have you run SIMSInfrastructuresetup.exe and ticked both the SIMS and FMS? If not then run that through first to see if that sorts it.
JTP Posted May 24, 2017 Posted May 24, 2017 A work around may be to make the changes through the school diary, if possible. I've encountered issues at several schools in the past where I was unable to edit the academic year. This was the method I used to get round it....
astevens84 Posted May 24, 2017 Posted May 24, 2017 Thanks for the replies. I've tried your suggestions, but still no joy. I've since found that a virus has corrupted some of my SIMS setup files, so I'm guessing this could be the issue, as one of them was the Pulsar application. I'm going to try replacing the setup files and see if that does the trick...
SpaceInvader83 Posted May 24, 2017 Posted May 24, 2017 We are having this issue when creating the new academic year, the issue can be replicated on our sims DB offsite by our support company so it's been sent over to Capita for a fix.
astevens84 Posted May 31, 2017 Posted May 31, 2017 Did you find a resolution? I found out the issue I was having was a simple fix - not to have a gap between one academic year and the next... My dates were simply not matching up.
SpaceInvader83 Posted June 8, 2017 Posted June 8, 2017 The fix for ours was to set the log file to unlimited growth while we did the new academic year.
