CAWJames Posted August 11, 2015 Posted August 11, 2015 Hi all, According to our EES welcome letter, DreamSpark is still free for us. I am trying to go through the ordering process, but it is trying to charge me £47.98 for a years electronic software delivery. Will this become a zero charge when it processes the promo code further into the enrollment? or am i missing something? Thanks James
mrnoisy Posted August 11, 2015 Posted August 11, 2015 Probably missing something, we have only just activated ours and it's been available for a couple of years, it was a very simple effortless process, I just rang them up, UK number and was sorted wishing 24 hrs, I did need to send a covering letter via email with the schools details on it.
CAWJames Posted August 12, 2015 Author Posted August 12, 2015 Thanks for that, any idea where you found the number? Thanks James
Cache Posted August 17, 2015 Posted August 17, 2015 On our letter there was a code to enter at the checkout. One year there was a problem with the code and an email to either Microsoft or Kivuto (can't remember which now) gave me a new code ot activate Dreamspark. A while since I activated it now though.
CAWJames Posted August 18, 2015 Author Posted August 18, 2015 Rang them up and they did the application online for me, I got a confirmation, just waiting now for the actual details, all in all much easier to phone!!
johnhart96 Posted September 2, 2015 Posted September 2, 2015 Hi All, I am a complete novice to this. But I have used dreamspark as a student. How do I go about setting the school up on this ? I think the only think we have that is remotely relevant is a volume licence agreement. Thanks John
jcookhgs Posted October 15, 2015 Posted October 15, 2015 Just found out that the codes we were issuing students are now invalid (been going since 2009 as far as I can see) so trying to get to the bottom of how to renew. Previous NM dealt with it and did not leave any info on it and looks as if things have changed at MS end in relation to it now anyway. Reseller is convinced its an entitlement via our open agreement but they have been passed around as well so far.
gshaw Posted October 15, 2015 Posted October 15, 2015 You usually get a code with your EES renewal (it's never changed) which is the one you enter at renewal to get Dreamspark for free
howartp Posted October 16, 2015 Posted October 16, 2015 I just found this with our HUP agreement yesterday, but I guess it's the same process. Go to VLSC, Software Assurance and there's a list of subscriptions you're entitled to including HUP. I'm guessing Dreamspark will be there as well. Click it and it takes you through the 'renewal' (free) process to get your new keys/codes for giving out.
Hay11Mac Posted October 19, 2015 Posted October 19, 2015 I signed our school up to DreamSpark today - I needed to call them to gain a promo code so that we didn't have to pay (included in our EES) printed off the receipt confirmation etc - but haven't as yet received confirmation email... How long does the email normally take to come thru?
