win Posted July 27, 2015 Posted July 27, 2015 For OWA on exchange we currently use: mail.domain.com/owa (with a wildcard cert) When migrating to O365 there will be a new URL for OWA. How do you handle the redirection if someone types in the old url? Does it affect the wildcard certificate if i use adfs?
Edu-IT Posted July 27, 2015 Posted July 27, 2015 When we type in mail.ourdomain.com/owa it goes directly to Office 365. So if you're using the same domain, you should be fine. We haven't configured any redirects. Just set the DNS that MS require. 1
win Posted July 27, 2015 Author Posted July 27, 2015 For external users using mail.domain.com/owa does it go there automatically or do you need to ask the ISP to change the CNAME or setup a URL redirect?
Edu-IT Posted July 27, 2015 Posted July 27, 2015 (edited) For external users using mail.domain.com/owa does it go there automatically or do you need to ask the ISP to change the CNAME or setup a URL redirect? It automatically goes there as long as you have set the DNS records MS ask for during setup of Office 365. https://support.office.com/en-za/article/Create-DNS-records-at-any-DNS-hosting-provider-for-Office-365-7b7b075d-79f9-4e37-8a9e-fb60c1d95166# Edited July 27, 2015 by Edu-IT 1
