enx Posted July 20, 2015 Posted July 20, 2015 Hi All I have just built and new MDT Sever and have created the Boot Wim and iso. I have installed WDS (on the same Server) and added the boot Wim, however I get the following error. I have tried using both the x86 and x64 boot wims and same error. If I burn the iso to a cd and boot it that way it works. Any ideas? Thanks
Rob_D Posted July 20, 2015 Posted July 20, 2015 It's a long shot but have you checked you've got all the right network drivers in the boot image?
enx Posted July 20, 2015 Author Posted July 20, 2015 Hi Rob, Thanks for the quick reply, Sorry should have in in intial post, yes I have unfortunatley and tested with an without.
pauldredge Posted July 21, 2015 Posted July 21, 2015 What point do you get this error? Have you updated the deployment share and added the newly updated boot wim into WDS?
enx Posted July 21, 2015 Author Posted July 21, 2015 (edited) Hi Paul, I get the error after the pxe boot screen, hit F12 and error appears. I have added the nic drivers for the machine I am testing with and have updated the boot image including those drivers. Also I have tried using both x86 and x64 boot wims. Cheers Edited July 21, 2015 by enx
pauldredge Posted July 21, 2015 Posted July 21, 2015 Try updating the MDT share and selecting to completely regenerate the boot images. Then import them into WDS again. Take it you added the drivers to the out of box drivers in MDT? What version of MDT do you have?
enx Posted July 21, 2015 Author Posted July 21, 2015 Just kicked of a Complete regeneration of the boot image, Yeah I added the drivers there, also MDT 2013.
pauldredge Posted July 21, 2015 Posted July 21, 2015 What version of MDT and ADK have you got installed? - - - Updated - - - Also whats in your customsettings.ini in MDT?
enx Posted July 22, 2015 Author Posted July 22, 2015 (edited) MDT 2013, ADK 8.1. Customsettings.ini [settings] Priority=Default Properties=MyCustomProperty [Default] OSInstall=Y SkipCapture=YES SkipAdminPassword=YES SkipProductKey=YES SkipComputerBackup=YES SkipBitLocker=YES I have just mounted the boot wim with DISM to see if Update KB2919355 as I have read this can cause issues. Cheers Update, The server is virtual, so I reverted to an earlier snapshot and installed MDT 2012 and ADK 8, still got the same error however. Edited July 22, 2015 by enx
