winng Posted July 1, 2015 Posted July 1, 2015 Is it possible to extract the new AMPARK files, particularly for PoS KS3, without installing the update? I've downloaded the .ISO and mounted the file so I can see the installation files, etc. I've run SIMSAMPARKSetup.exe on one of our schools but don't know if that has done anything useful or not. Any ideas if this is achievable. PS - We typically delay the upgrade until September once the students are back onsite and people are using the system.
krtek Posted July 2, 2015 Posted July 2, 2015 Just in case Phil missed the reference My understanding is that, if you are a secondary school and referring to the KS3 POS entry screens, these will be activated by application of a database patch to be made available over the summer break and then an import of the resources to SIMS and you will need to update to summer (7.164) if you are to make use of analysis and reporting functionality Cheers Dave 1
winng Posted September 14, 2015 Author Posted September 14, 2015 Okay, just upgrade to 7.164 Summer and applied the PoS Patch. Where do I get the latest AMPARK files from? I've run amparksetup from the .iso but that has not revealed the PsS KS3 Aspects.xml file I am looking for...
Seb1780 Posted September 14, 2015 Posted September 14, 2015 The files you need are stored locally on your machine in ..\Program Files\SIMS\SIMS .net\AMPA - there are a series of folders for different school types here. These need to be imported via Routines / Data In / Assessment / Import
winng Posted September 14, 2015 Author Posted September 14, 2015 Thanks @Seb1780 however, the PoS KS3 Aspects.xml is not amongst them....
Seb1780 Posted September 14, 2015 Posted September 14, 2015 Thanks @Seb1780 however, the PoS KS3 Aspects.xml is not amongst them.... My bad, PoS KS3 Aspects.xml was bundled in the zip file with the patch (or at least mine were).
winng Posted September 14, 2015 Author Posted September 14, 2015 I got my patch via Solus3 so no zip, etc,.
winng Posted September 15, 2015 Author Posted September 15, 2015 The Capita helpdesk kindly provided the xml file yesterday [emoji3]
