What browser is that in? If you visit http://HTTP://ssltest.rm.com does it report the certificate as being OK?

We are having the sames issues with lightspeed provided by @SchoolsBroadband

I believe this should work now but has an impact on per user reporting. We've been working on a fix to properly implement this change and I'm pleased to say our NOC guys are off to London this weekend to install new kit and make it work.

 

There will also be access to some additional Lightspeed features which you couldn't get in the past which will be nice

 

We'll be going through and extensive period of testing but if you'd like to beta and check it first then send me a PM.

Same issue appeared again. I've installed the certificate and tested using ssltest and it showed fine under safari however doesn't work on Chrome or Firefox. I am really annoyed with this, none of our staff can work using Firefox or Chrome. I reported it to SWGfl but didn't get any resolution, they kept asking me to install the cert from Changes to Google SSL and RM SafetyNet | RM Education - What we do which I did and it installed successfully however I still can't get to Google.

I don't know about Chrome but Firefox has its own cert store that it needs importing to as it doesn't use windows

Easiest way - present the certificate to the client via a web link. We have it hosted on a web server with instructions. You simply click the link and the browser asks you if you wish to install the certificate.

 

I don't know of a way to deploy a certificate to Firefox users though - it still requires their intervention.

You "can" bodge it a bit by importing the cert into it's authority and then deploying the whole cert database, but it's not exactly a clean method, and as we only use firefox on BYOD it's make them install it manually here as mentioned above

 

Open the Firefox browser. ...

Click the Advanced icon and select the Encryption tab.

Click the View Certificates button and select the Your Certificates tab.

Click the Import button.

Browse to locate the P12 file that contains your certificates and click OK.

Hi localzuk, RM provides the web link to install the cert directly. I've checked our keychain and also Firefox as well still we have issues. Chrome doesn't load no matter what you do. I even set RM cert under keychain 'system' and 'login', both options have 'Trust always', it still have no affect on the browser for some reason.

Thanks Steve, I have cert under auth root but will add it under "your cert" and see if it works
