Hi all,

im looking at putting in a 3cx box at home, I'd like to get rid of landline but cant do that as Im in KC land tied to a fiber package with my landline. So I want to build my 3CX system to work over my landline rather than the internet!

What will I need, Obviously ill have to have my 3CX sytem plugged into my phone line - what sort of device do I need to connect my server to landline to make and receive calls ?

The plan then is once it working to be able to use softphone in my office and a couple of handsets downstairs into a POE switch.

Can this be achieved ?

thanks in advance all.

We've tried a Cisco SPA 3102 to do this, costs I think around £30, but we have had some echo issues, that may be just our configuration. I know 3cx used to be compatible with skype - might be worth a look...

Thanks guys, Ive got all my inetrnal extensions etc working and remote ones too and 3CX phone on mobiles.

Just want to get it hooked into landline now and working, only gateway I have kicking about is a 4 port Pheenet (Solwise).

It has FXO ports so that should be what im looking for ?

Thanks

That sounds about right. I guess you could just configure that as an IP trunc within 3CX, similar to the supported Beronet BeroFIX.
