Millsy79 Posted June 19, 2015 Posted June 19, 2015 Hi Has anybody managed to install Lego mindstorm education version via sccm and if so could they advice us on how to do it. We have the following install file, LME-EV3-win32-ENGB-01-01-full-setup.exe. I tried using /q /acceptlicenses yes, in the command line but the software still didn't deploy. Those switches worked with the non educational version of the software. Thanks
mrbios Posted June 19, 2015 Posted June 19, 2015 I have a package (not an application!) install setup for this that's working with the following command: setup.exe /q /AcceptLicenses yes /r:n I was given a CD with it on, copied the contents to SCCM and run it from there. Your setup file looks like a download though? Does it extract first or just directly install from that file?
localzuk Posted June 19, 2015 Posted June 19, 2015 We install it via SCCM. We have an Application set up with the following script being called: \\storage\sccm\applications\lego\ev3\LME-EV3-WIN32-ENGB-01-01-full-setup.exe "\\storage\sccm\applications\lego\ev3\student.txt" /r:n /q /AcceptLicenses yes\\storage\sccm\applications\lego\ev3\LME-EV3-WIN32-ENGB-01-01-00-patch-setup.exe /q /r:n /AcceptLicenses yes \\storage\sccm\applications\lego\ev3\LME-EV3-DEP-WIN32-ENGB-01-00-full-setup.exe /q /r:n /AcceptLicenses yes Only issue with the actual install is that "silent" isn't. It still displays a progress bar to whoever is logged on at the time, if the install is triggered when people are logged in.
Millsy79 Posted June 22, 2015 Author Posted June 22, 2015 Thanks for the advice localzuk. in the code you have posted above it refers to a file called student.txt. Is that the script that is being called up and if so what needs to be in it? Have you used that entire code as the command line.

localzuk Posted April 4, 2017 Posted April 4, 2017 (edited) Thanks for the advice localzuk. in the code you have posted above it refers to a file called student.txt. Is that the script that is being called up and if so what needs to be in it? Have you used that entire code as the command line. Didn't notice this reply back then... Student.txt is as follows: ; -------------------------- How to use this file --------------------------------- ; ; To run this installer in quiet mode: ; 1. Edit the information below to match your company information and install location. ; 2. Run : setup.exe /q /AcceptLicenses yes. Passing the value "yes"; to the /AcceptLicenses parameter indicates that you agree with the license agreements. ; Alternatively, instead of /q, /qb can be used to run the installer in basic UI mode. ; 3. The installer will automatically restart your system after the installation is done. ; To prevent the restart use the command line : setup.exe /r:n /q /AcceptLicenses yes ; ; For more information on installation automation visit Info Codes - National Instruments and enter the infocode exdir3. ; -------------------------- Set feature states --------------------------------- ; The valid feature states are: Local, Absent, NoChange, Default; Local - Install it (on the local hard drive). If already installed leave it installed. ; Absent - Do not install it. If already installed uninstall it. ; NoChange - Do not install it.
