What we are running. 4 x physical servers (Plus 1 test server) Desktop computers using Windows 7 and Office 2010 (soon to be 2013) Wanting to change from RM Virus protect to Microsoft endpoint protection We also want to set up a test server using SCCM and start playing around with that for a future network upgrade to try it for imaging, package deployment etc Currently 2FJ-00021 Microsoft Office Pro Plus Education All Lng License/Software Assurance Pack Academic Open Value 1 License Level F UTD 1 Year x 120 P73-05567 Microsoft Windows Server Standard All Lng License/Software Assurance Pack Academic Open Value 1 License Level F Additional Product 2 PROC 1 Year x 2 FQC-05414 Microsoft Windows Professional All Lng Upgrade/Software Assurance Pack Academic Open Value 1 License Level F UTD 1 Year x 120 What i think we need? 120 x Education Desktop with Core CAL Suite 120 x Microsoft Core CAL Suite (Includes Windows Server CAL, SharePoint Server Standard CAL, Exchange Server Standard CAL, System Center Configuration Manager Client Management License, System Center Endpoint Protection, and Lync Server Standard CAL. 5 x Microsoft Windows Sever enterprise Does this sound right?

What windows are the physical servers running (including Standard or Enterprise or Data Centre) Do the physicals have any Virtual machines on them? What is the OEM Licensing for your Desktop PCs to decide if you need upgrade licenses for all of them.

The servers will all be running windows server 2012 and are just physical no virtualisation. The desktops all came with a version of windows to allow us to upgrade the OS. e.g. Win co, 7 or 8. Thanks

Unless you want all the silly bits like Operations Manager/DPM etc it should what you need Steve
john Posted June 9, 2015 Posted June 9, 2015 Would suggest you talk to some good Microsoft Education License specialsit to work out what you need as you sound like you have some wrong info. I hear good things about the Millgate guys on here for Licensing
supawat1 Posted June 9, 2015 Posted June 9, 2015 You probably need something like this to cover desktop and server licensing 120 x Desktop Education License (about £34 / Licence) 4 x Core Infrastructure Server Suite Standard ( about £75 / Licence)
