Hi All,

We've got a staff member off for a while and I need to suspend her account so she can't receive mail. Then re-instate it when she gets back

Any idea's??

Cheers in advance

Do you specifically need to suspend the ability to receive mails into the mailbox, or just stop the user accessing it?

If the latter, depending on your configuration, you can just disable them in the Office 365 Admin Portal.

In 365 admin exchange admin, find your user.

In the Mailbox features, you can go into Message Delivery Restrictions and set only to accept messages from a list of users. Set your 365 admin account there and it should do what you want.

I've actually just blocked the user. Your idea looks better. Its only maternity leave but is getting bombed on the her phone.

Cheers @Boredguy. Done the trick ;)

If it was just for her phone and she'd on maternity, then I would have disabled the users mobile device rights and left them able to access OWA.

Most of our staff still want to keep up to date with stuff, but do put an Out of Office message on their account.

Other option could have been for the member of staff to update the phone account to only perform manual sync instead of automatic, but as long as the issue is resolved for now it's excellent.

True, that list did the job though. Receiving internal mail is fine. Just getting bombed with other stuff (not spam). Turn off the mail account on your phone !?!?!?!?!?
