My partner is insisting that it's not "learner friendly" so I'm having to get rid of the best car I've ever owned... I'm looking for £3,500 (or a near offer) or bid on ebay from £2,000: 2004 FORD MONDEO ST220 SILVER | eBay

Maybe if I had the money but just wanted to say I love the location of the photo with the Morrison's sign behind saying "Miles better value" !!

I wish I could say it was on purpose but I only noticed when I started editing out the number plates...

Not learner friendly... Pfffftttt... My friend learnt to drive in her dad's Jag XJS. Didn't do her any harm!

I learnt in a Toyota Carina estate, instructor said it was much better to learn in a large "powerful" car than over a piddly little thing then be out of your depth when you passed.

Because I live city centre the physical size and height of the car is the real issue for her. Even for an estate it's on the large side (it's longer/wider than stock Mondeo estates which aren't exactly small).

 

I've already bought a cmax which is a little smaller and a little higher (and a lot easier to drive), once she gets used to that and a year or two no claims I might go back to an ST if finances permit.
