Haptic Posted May 4, 2015 Posted May 4, 2015 Happy May 4th to you all. We love Star Wars, any of you lucky enough to have received our 2009 tri-fold calendar will have seen May 4th marked as an unofficial holiday. We also love mucking around with Lego. In order to celebrate our (and hopefully your) love of the combination we're holding the prize draw to end all prize draws...until next year. We're giving away a daft amount of Lego in our May 4th Prize Draw, full details here Lego - Star Wars Prize Draw - Haptic Networks Star Prize is the Death Star, plus loads of other excellent sets including AT-ATs and a couple of Imperial Star Destroyers for good measure. We hope you all get lucky, we also hope 'The Force Awakens' isn't poop.
Haptic Posted May 4, 2015 Author Posted May 4, 2015 Think I'll be keeping an eye on our post Superb, I hope people will...it's involving a lot of hand writing (our feedback has shown that the best way of reaching Network Staff is by personal addressed, hand written envelopes...I can feel the carpal tunnel already)

Iain.Faulkner Posted May 5, 2015 Posted May 5, 2015 (edited) I've spent years winding my wife up about how we need a lego death star in the house (she prefers the AT-AT)....I will be keeping an eye out for this :-) My Lego Spiderman and Lego Donatello are looking a bit worn as well :-) Edited May 5, 2015 by Iain.Faulkner
Haptic Posted May 5, 2015 Author Posted May 5, 2015 How was that determined? :-D We asked a bunch of ICT staff
sonofsanta Posted May 5, 2015 Posted May 5, 2015 Pish! The best way to reach ICT staff is by including chocolate in the envelope. This has worked on me on at least two separate occasions. The number would be higher if more than two people had ever attempted it. Speaking of The Force Awakens, some new set photos by Annie Leibovitz for Vanity Fair: http://www.vanityfair.com/hollywood/2015/05/star-wars-force-awakens-photos 1
Haptic Posted May 5, 2015 Author Posted May 5, 2015 Deeecent. Although your job must be tough for someone your height! Here's our collection currently, sadly our shrink ray is on the blink.
Iain.Faulkner Posted May 5, 2015 Posted May 5, 2015 Deeecent. Although your job must be tough for someone your height! In some ways yes...but it is quite handy for doing cabling runs :-)
Haptic Posted May 5, 2015 Author Posted May 5, 2015 In some ways yes...but it is quite handy for doing cabling runs :-) Carry on like that and we'll be trying to poach you!
bladedanny Posted May 7, 2015 Posted May 7, 2015 I'll keep an eye on my post too. It'd come in handy too, I need some Lego for my 11 day old son. He'll obviously need help doing it though. 2
AndyB4rks Posted May 7, 2015 Posted May 7, 2015 (edited) Im in for the only reason of putting an ITX motherboard in an AT-AT and having the coolest pc on my desk! Or imagine tipping up to the finance directors office with their *new* death star pc! Even better our principal is Star Wars mad she would be over the moon with a Millennium Falcon pc on her desk.... Haptic Posted May 7, 2015 Author Posted May 7, 2015 I need some Lego for my 11 day old son. Congrats on the new arrival! Funnily enough this is a pitch we've heard many new/expectant fathers try to justify (normally to their OH) 1

To hell with Health and Safety, we need these in our lives.
AndyB4rks Posted May 7, 2015 Posted May 7, 2015 To hell with Health and Safety, we need these in our lives. Ah that's a different department, personally if they say anything it would claim its for stress related symptoms....
Haptic Posted May 7, 2015 Author Posted May 7, 2015 We're not in any position to dish out Nobel prizes but surely it'd be shortlisted....
bladedanny Posted May 7, 2015 Posted May 7, 2015 Congrats on the new arrival! Funnily enough this is a pitch we've heard many new/expectant fathers try to justify (normally to their OH) Yeah my OH is having none of it, so winning some would be a nice workaround.
Iain.Faulkner Posted May 7, 2015 Posted May 7, 2015 Yeah my OH is having none of it, so winning some would be a nice workaround. I have also tried this since my Son was born (he's 21 months now)....and my wife is still having none of it :-( I even tried the "But it might not be available when he's old enough to appreciate it" line, but to no avail :-(
Haptic Posted May 7, 2015 Author Posted May 7, 2015 Try using the 'I got these free with the Sun/Mirror promo' then incinerate your receipts. I hope my Wife doesn't read this. Joe 1
Haptic Posted May 8, 2015 Author Posted May 8, 2015 It is with some regret that the Death Star has arrived. The realisation that we can't open/build it has set in. Sad faces abound.
Scotbynature Posted May 11, 2015 Posted May 11, 2015 As above, too late to enter and do you have to be one of your existing customers? I am ashamed to say I had not heard of you until I read this post, I will certainly get some quotes from you and the death star in my office would remind me to order future stock from you, lol.
Haptic Posted May 11, 2015 Author Posted May 11, 2015 Hi All It's open to everyone (in line with regulations) it's our existing customers that will receive invitations over the next week or so. The full entry details for non existing customers is on our website (link on our first post) the entry deadline is June 29th Good luck, the prizes are pretty much all here now so we're going to be making a lot of people happy!
