Hi Guys;

Any suggestion for Free network monitoring tool (not solarwind or Fluke etc) to install on windows, which gives you topology information + what type of switches or router is being used.

And possible traffic monitoring on Switches ports.

Any help will be appreciated.

Thanks;

Try The Dude.

Ideally though, you want something that can talk CDP and LLDP to make your life easier with automagic maps. My "this school is paying me regularly for support" option would be Observium (observium.org) in a VM on my laptop or a HP Microserver on their site.

You can run it on a raspberry pi, but I suspect the RRD files would kill the SD card too quickly.
