chalkwellstu Posted December 14, 2007 Posted December 14, 2007 Anyone know of a good DVD ripper thats preferably free? i have to transfer DVD's that have a load of school plays on and stuff into movie maker and i dont have the budget for the necessary hardware/softare option. so i figured if i could rip the DVD's into AVI then i could import the result into movie maker and voila!! richardp Posted December 17, 2007 Posted December 17, 2007 Have you tried the following : VirtualDub, DVD2AVI, or Mpeg2AVI Also assuming that the VOB files are not encrypted you can open them directly with premiere elements which should cost no more than £35 (available since version 2) or change the extension to .mpg and import them into premiere pro.
