Other way around, the new values should be:

UnregisterProdesktop | REMOVE=~”All” OR MaintenanceMode=”Remove” | 1450

RegisterProdesktop | NOT Installed | 6650

Ok, sorted it, just change the uninstall condition to REMOVE="All"

 

Tested this ok.

Hi, sorry for starting this topic up again.

I'm trying to distribute ProDesktop 8 with Zenworks. I've created a snapshot of the installation, am able to run the distribution as a non admin. But with the first run I just get the splashscreen, nothing more. If I then run it as a admin and then again as a non admin it works fine.

Has any found a solution for these issues?

Anyone Managed to get this working with APP-V, every time I launch the Prodesktop package it start up with the loading screen then closes it down byitself.

 

Worked when when I launched it before making the package.

Having a pig of a time getting this to install on Win7 x64. Knowing as I do that there's no chance of me seeing the head of DT twixt now and September and telling him it ain't happening, does anyone which version of ISScript that Pro Desktop 8 actually wants? The install media is frustratingly absent so I can't take the isscript.msi from the disc, and so far I've tried v7, 8, 9, 10, 10.1, 10.50 and 11 and none of them have worked

It is v8 you need I'm afraid , I just checked out folder where our setup install of this is and that's what's in it.

This is for v8 of the ProDesktop, you didn't say what version you was talking about, so hopefully this is what you have

oh good god, that's one of my jobs for Wednesday next week and this has just filled me with dread :| W7x64 clients too. Ah well. If it doesn't work then we're not going to be busting a gut!

TBH I'd repackage it to an MSI now to prevent such hassles in future like installer tripping up under newer versions of Windows. You can probably install it under XP and capture it as an MSI then push it out to 7-8 etc. without hassles. We have used this method for messy old software for a while now and it evaporates most compatibility issues short of 16bit system files and outdated codecs/drivers. Prune it down to the necessaries now and you'll save yourself pain in future. We have made software that barely worked under XP to 7x64 via this method.

v8 indeed, although I suspect it's still a bit outdated. Just hoping it runs ok as it has had problems at every school I've known it, stupid thing.

 

The file I have is already an MSI, and I'm always cagey about packaging stuff up myself because we have spent years suffering under problems caused by the last NM who packaged his own MSIs. With SCCM up and running I'm pushing out all sorts of stuff left, right and center anyway, just some old legacy software that's giving me grief.

After that, a Script Logo CD that says "For Windows 95/NT3.51" on the front. Not optimistic.
