IOS 8.3 is out.

We've had a few with problems after the 8.3 upgrade, they won't start back up again, half a dozen student devices today, hope they don't all decide to stop working [emoji23]

So it seemed my update to iOS 8.2 only the other week caused major issues and the teaching staff and students where coming up to me with all sorts of problems. End result I'm stuck here now updating to 8.3 with my fingers crossed.

I get bored of all this carp that comes with managing Apple devices. Sorry bit of a rant but it's so time consuming.

Don't you just love it when updating 16 iPads for no reason what so ever a couple decide to fail and you have to re-do them individually...

 

Or when you have waited the 20 minutes for the new iOS to install and Configurator hangs on "Waiting for apps to authorize" requiring you to exit the app entirely re-open, re-autheticate and try again. I mean seriously. I HATE HATE HATE APPLE.

Haven't been using configuration here. Unfortunately our iPads are pretty wide open and not much for restrictions. We tell them that because they refuse to have restrictions they are fully responsible and not us but they always come back to us. Even for updates

i take it for granted 10-20% will do that every update

Has anyone had an issue with plugging ipads into their computers to get photos off, but then you don't get the 'Trust Computer' message on the iPad. Seems to be an issue after I've updated some to iOS 8.3...

Being honest - iOS 8.3 has been a welcomed update. It's fixed a lot of issues and definitely improves/stabilises the experience compared to iOS 8.2.

Haha. I'll try it. Currently just plugging into the macbook and copying them to the server that way. Not too painful.

Its more if you ever had an old version which has left a stale driver in place. Usually you dont need iTunes and it just works though.
