Hey guys,

Just installed and configured HAP+ on our internal web server, works great and it is just what we need. At the moment, I have it running on https://InternalWebServerName/HAP, but I will want to configure it using our schools domain name, eg hap.schoolwebaddress.co.uk.

The way i understand this, when I have it set up, people will have to navigate to https://hap.schoolwebaddress.co.uk/hap in order to reach it. Is there anything i can do in iis to allow that domain name to go straight to the HAP+ login page without having to put in "/hap" at the end of the domain?

Any help will be much appreciated!

Super, thanks Nick.

Another thing, when i try to browse AD groups to add drive permissions, it doesn't come up with any of my AD groups (see picture attached). Is there a fix for this?

Hi Everyone, I have the same issue but i think i know what it is......

The box i'm using is not a memeber of the domain, does it need to be joined?

I have, but when i then go to the site, it looses all formatting as it is looking for files within the /hap directory. Is there anything in the HAP+ config files which specifies the root directory of the HAP+ install?

Hey mate,

have you done the URL redirect that nickbro said? I have had a bit of a nightmare getting mine to work but now it does, it still says /hap at the end but you just need to type https://yourschool.co.uk then it redirect to https://yourschool.co.uk/hap

one thing that tripped me up with the redirect thing was that i was applying it to the HAP application folder under the default site rather than the default site itself... Try this once you have it installed as per the Microsoft Article.

Click default site

Click HTTP Redirect

Tick Redirect requests to this destination

Type your full path of HAP i.e https://hap.yourschool.co.uk/hap - make sure you have an A record for DNS also

Tick the other two boxes

set status code to 302

PS if you are running anything else as the default site this will redirect it to the HAP server so beware if you have any other sites on your IIS server.
