I am currently using E1. - - - Updated - - - Office 365 Education for Students seems to include Office 365 ProPlus but I have a separate Office 365 ProPlus for Students for that?

There is some listed here: https://products.office.com/en/academic/compare-office-365-education-plans It looks like the only real difference is that users can install office, not sure what the other ones are about. Hopefully someone else can elaborate.

The separate pro plus you have to renew every year. The other you don't. I switched all my licences to save the hassle. Thanks

A1 has disappeared and A2 = E1, while A3 = E3 This is looking like a bad mathematical equation. Has anyone got any practical use out of going for E3 apart from extra office licenses?

ass17 Posted March 17, 2015 Posted March 17, 2015 Back in September Microsoft announced they were giving it to schools for free. The office 365 for students or faculty is the equivalent to at least an E3 license.

snagrat Posted March 17, 2015 Posted March 17, 2015 It's only the ProPlus they get for free, not the E3 licenses. Basically all they get is Office, none of the additional features of a E3 license.
