I had a play with the new MacBook when I was in town the other day. The design of the thing is stunning and the screen is probably the best I've ever seen on a laptop. The new force touch trackpad works really well too.

However, that much acclaimed 'butterfly' keyboard they've added really annoyed me as there's virtually no travel or feedback on the keys and they felt really stiff and horrible to type on. Initial impressions were that it's one of the worst keyboards I've ever used.

Anyone else tried it? Am I being unduly harsh and does it improve the more you use it?

The keyboard did feel odd to me, but I'm sure its just something i would get use to after a few hours. I really want a space grey Macbook it just looks so cool, but there is nothing wrong with my Macbook Air, Pro or Mini so cannot really justify it unless its like Pokemon and i have to collect them all..... i think i will give in and get one on the next refresh they do as the next gen intel chips they use it them should have a big performance boost.
